Finding my happy place or “whatever”…

After attending the Emerald City Writer’s Conference last weekend, it became clear that I needed to get back with my blog. I had one set up for a while, but discovered that the hassle factor was too high. And anyone who knows me, knows that I don’t like a high hassle factor. I also struggled with my former blog because I detest deadlines. I am the Empress of Procrastination and I dare anyone to challenge my throne. (Mwah ha ha…)

But I have to admit I had a little bit of a light bulb moment at the ECWC during Kristen Lamb’s workshop. (If you haven’t checked out her blog We Are Not Alone then you should. She’s hilarious.) She made me realize that I don’t have to be serious. I can blog about anything I want. It can be silly, or goofy, or dumb. Gosh, what a glowing endorsement for my blog. Dumb stuff, come and get it!

So I decided I’m going to just blog about “whatever.” Doesn’t that sound fantastic? Yeah, I know I called it a light bulb moment, but it was more like a dim flashlight that you have to shake because the batteries are going dead kind of moment, but still. Kristen says bloggers should blog FIVE days a week. (Lordy mama, she so crazy.) I’m not even going to pretend I’m doing that.

Some days I’ll blog about writing stuff because that’s what I do, but other days my blog will just be about “whatever.” I can talk endlessly about books, procrastination, raising kids, and I might even post a photo or two of some hot guys. Didn’t you know that all romance writers have extensive hot guy photo collections? (Ssshhh, I wasn’t supposed to tell anyone about that….)

So come and join me. It’s going to be a lot of fun talking about, you know, “whatever.”

And just to prove to you that I’ve got the goods….
